He has done an impressive job at Mizzou

Revolt because it’s just a bad process to emotionally fire BK and pay him $53M to not coach, then turn around and hire BK Lite for more than what BK was making. Not to mention all of the assistants/staff turnover
Would look pretty foolish

That's when an AD who has balls says to the chattering masses, " who the frick are any of you to tell me what to do and whom to hire, you are just part of the chattering class, you don't do this for a living, you really don't know what we are looking at, you think you do, but you really don't. So if it's all the same STFU, we made an offer to this guy and the money people enthusiastically were on board......go back to the game room and play Madden."
We just fired Kelly because he lost all fan support. You are proposing a very expensive way of going down that same path.

I told y’all this is an outcome! Email Verge and Scott Ballard!!!
This is the booster who wants him, Scott Ballard;
sballard@lsu.edu
Here is Verges email (he will answer)
vousebe1@lsu.edu
He’d be 10+ million to come here!!
You can use the following to beef up your email:
Drinkwitz is 0-15 since 2020 against SEC teams that finish with a winning conference record.
Against ranked teams
2020: 1-4, -97 point differential
2021: 0-3, -75 point differential
2022: 1-2, -35 point differential
2023: 3-2, +28 point differential
2024: 0-3, -69 point differential
2025: 0-3, -10 point differential
Total: 5-17, -258 point differential
Out of the five ranked wins he has during his tenure at Missouri…
beat LSU in 2020, who finished 5-5.
beat South Carolina in 2022, who finished 7-5.
beat Kansas State in 2023, who finished 8-4.
beat Kentucky in 2023, who finished 6-6.
beat Tennessee in 2023, who finished 8-4.

People seem to forget that Gary Pinkel had Mizzou in the sec champ game 3 years in a row when they joined the sec. He also had a top 5 finish in 2007. It’s possible to win there, Drink just can’t do it bc he isn’t that great of a coach. Is the ceiling as high as other schools? No. But if Drink were that great of a coach he would be doing more, esp against top teams. His best win this season is on the road against a shitty auburn team. Maybe when they get curb stomped this weekend by Oklahoma people will realize it.
He went there twice, with the weakest UF, UT, & Georgia teams at the same time ever. Also, how long was he there by then??

Auburn was in the SECCG the same year. They are on their 4th coach since then.
This is a created success situation with Drinkwitz. Not an inherited success.
Drinkwitz is the only candidate with different standards vs the others.
People have won at Arizona St before too. No one holds that against Dillingham.
People have won at Ole Miss before. No one holds that against Lane.

He lost fan support because he earned that loss. Plus LSU fans are unrealistic delusional ingrates. Who believe their own press about how great a job being the LSU coach is. But really, fans and internet fools direction to people who really know what to look for is the height of stupidity.
It usually turns into a miserable experience for the coach. You don't think Orgeron and Kelly were somewhat relieved to be fired?

And tRant's savior Lane Kiffin is 4-10 in that same time frame. Kiffin was also 1-8 in his 1st 4 years at Ole Miss before the Ole Miss admin gave him a blank check for NIL.
Drink isn't near as bad as some of y'all are making him out to be. He consistently has one of the best rushing attacks in the SEC. His problem is recruiting and talent, so give him $ to work with and retain Frank and he'll do fine.
My top 4:
1. Kiffin
2. Dillingham
3. Drink or Heupel
Someone pitched the Indiana OC a while back and if we were to go for a coordinator, he'd be at the top of my list. But no chance this hire takes a risk with promoting a coordinator.

Not sold on any of these guys unless it's an incentive-based contract to free up more money for NIL.
