The one thing I’m confused about…Ole Miss being willing to do this one week contract so he can sign an MOU for us that starts next Saturday…why would they throw us a bone/do us a favor like that? Why not make him coach through the egg bowl so he can resign and sign our MOU next Saturday?

Keith Carter has handled this well and made the correct decision imo. Can't host a playoff game in Oxford and have an additional month of this circus. It's a tough position to be in but glad to see someone not kowtow to Sexton for once. Word around town last night was Lane really wanted to coach out the full season but the dates and deadlines just don't align for that. Beat MSU in Starkville and MSU grad Joe Judge is probably coaching Ole Miss on an interim basis in a home playoff game while Lane Kiffin is actively recruiting for LSU. Didn't think I'd be typing out a sentence like that 6 weeks ago.
