I like that no leaks are out there concerning LSU's searches to fill staff positions. Speaks volumes to Woodward's staff and Coach O as well. Keep it in house until official announcements are made.

I have been impressed that there were no leaks for the last 10 days. Would not have happened under Alleva

That’s because they haven’t been working. Those idiots are going to do the same thing they did last year and wait too long, strike out on good candidates, and get stuck with old retread hires. And it’s bc they think the national championship earned them the right to keep their jobs - but they’re wrong

Agree - starting to look like idiots are running the place and LSU will end up with low $ 3rd choice coaches just like the same way that Orgeron got hired after TU pumper Ballard handled the nationwide search.

How did you come to this conclusion?

They all went on vacation and plan to start looking in Feb... No sense rushing things.

And they didn't wait too long last year or miss on anyone. Just made a bad hire.
But again how did you come to your conclusion that they are not doing anything and are going to miss out on their candidates? What evidence pushed you towards that?

For now, I think Woodward has earned the respect to allow him to work with O in the hiring process and he is an LSU man who wants the best for us. Austin Thomas coming back is good. Let’s hold our opinions until the process is complete.

What a bitch way to answer a direct question

O waited too long. He took months and all the good hires were happening and we were wondering why he wasn’t hiring anyone. Then we end up with Linehan and Pelini, neither of which was wanted by anyone but LSU, and overpaid both. He fricked around with his new gf and partied hard and waited til the last minute to make subpar hires and overpay

Wut? He “took so long” because we didn’t lose any coaches until frigging mid-January after winning the natty. So yes, most other CFB hires had already happened, but not because O was stalling.

This. It doesn’t excuse making two poor choices in Pelini and Linehan, but it’s still true. And if you think the staff is on vacay and sitting on their asses, how did we just complete a flip for a commit last night? How did we just retain two key defensive line players who could have left for the draft?
None of this is a guarantee that the new hires will be what they need to be, but there is plenty of evidence that the staff is spending their time right now working to right the ship for next year. If you can’t see it, it’s because you have an ax to grind and don’t want to.

Or he is and has been on vacation with the new girlfriend.

You mean waiting until after they had openings and had played their last game?
