Posted by TG You're being led on. Alleva will do this one on the cheap. He'll hire Brick as the DC and Orgeron will not be in the mix. LSU hasn't spoken with Orgeron and will not in the future. LSU will get Brick Haley and some unknown position coach for the coming season.

And that's why he should have his arse thrown out the door ASAP. Other schools like Auburn making quick hires with Big $$ and we are looking like idiots. There must be something behind the scenes that is a big turnoff to people inquiring about this job. We are in the SEC in a state that's swimming in talent on top of the talent that's already here. This is a place that people should be jumping to get a job at yet they all seem to be running. WTF is going on?

LSU needs to jump all in now on him because the window is closing as he is talking to Colorado and Miss St.

I'm imagining all these people here chain smoking with teary eyes swearing up and down and hitting the refresh button... just KNOWING that something will finally prove their suspicions right about Miles.

Lame.

Not really surprised that Shoop would be trying for more cash. PSU is close to his home but he was one of the better coach's rumored. If we end up with Haley and Bebe their won't be the worst hire but will be disappointing.

Chavis's timing completely fricked us on this. Most of the big name guys either found a job or signed extensions (Boom, Venables, etc.). This frickin blows.

Hate to jump to conclusions while the search is still ongoing. But if people are really turning this down the only thing that would make sense to me is if Les is either planning on leaving in not too many years and not hiding it or the administration is giving vibes that Miles' job is not secure for the long term. Not sure what else it could be.

No doubt. Miles is trying to find a yes man who will agree to keep his friends and strong candidates want no part of that crap. They all see how Cam is hamstrung with Miles, and anyone who does not see this or admit it is clueless. and the strong DC candidates will sniff this out easily.

There's been nothing reported for a certainty that ANYONE has actually been offered the job yet. Thus, why do you people think we keep getting turned down?

I agree. This was probably the sticking point with Chavis. The Miles Clause. Alleva might not be willing to guarantee anything long term.
