if it's that bad, my dream of saban as DC might not be so farfetched.

yea that's what i mean. remember he didn't push shula around that much. shula actually had a lot more control than people realize. saban though will actually stand up to him and his old fossil buddies, and i think he's feeling the backlash.

I know that you'll join me in hoping that Les stays.

The Lemoine's are probably the closest to Saban of all Tiger backers.....
lemoine is the guy who saved Saban from drowning
and I dont care who he is, NO ONE would insult terry saban to her face. more than likely Bear Junior ran his mouth off and it got back to NS

This is from some fairly reliable sources in B.R..... Trying to confirm the Windsor Ct as we speak......... But, if nothing else, it seems logical
Guys: Here's the latest received here in Acadiana.
Here it is boys. Miles agreed to terms Tuesday with Michigan at the Windsor Court. He's done.
The three candidates are Spurrier, Del Rio, and Saban. Terri Saban got chewed out by Bear Bryant Jr for having LSU people at their house for the AL game (Lemoine). They aren't happy there but I doubt they'd leave. They will get their home back in BR if they do decide to do it.
My money is on Del Rio. But there's huge huge huge money involved here to get Saban back. A couple of guys at the Shaw Group and one in Alexandria - I don't need to mention there names - all want Saban back.
The new system president is involved which is good. I don't think Skip is really part of it - also good.
This rumor is tainted by the mere mention of the Shaw Group guys. Remember the post from this morning about how "Big money Shaw Group guys are getting the money for Saban's buyout"...? Just one problem, Saban has no buyout. This is just a rumor wrapped in innuendo, with bullshite drizzled on top.

Hell NO! I'm excited as hell that Les is gone. Its now official. I've been wishing for this since the UT game in 05. I knew the only way to get rid of the guy was for UM to come calling. When I got the news I was VERY excited.

Advocate, that guy earlier was an idiot. I know the guy he was referencing, his first name is Patrick. He isn't that powerful, trust me.
That said, a group led by a key Shaw Group officer is very much involved. And it is not JB.

The email doesn't say that the money is for any type of buyout. Simply donating to the athletic program tends to have pull at pretty much any school. Just saying, they never talk about money for a buyout.

I was talking about a post earlier today that included references to Shaw Group contacts getting money for a buyout. It didn't pass the smell test earlier, and this email referencing the same "group"...just seems like a new version of the same B.S.

Since there is so much speculation about Saban, here are the reported terms of his contract:
TUSCALOOSA -- Nick Saban's contract with Alabama is now official.
The university Board of Trustees compensation committee unanimously approved the eight-year, $32 million contract this afternoon. Saban signed it Wednesday.
Saban will make a base salary of $225,000 annually for the duration of the contract. His personal service fees (for doing radio and television shows) will start at $3.275 million for this year and will grow to as high as $3.975 million for each of the last three years of the contract.
Saban will make $3.5 million in 2007 and will make $4.2 million over the last three years of the contract from 2012-2014.
The contract also includes a variety of incentive clauses, such as a $100,000 bonus if the football team's graduation rate is in the top 25 percent of the SEC and $400,000 if Alabama plays for the national championship.
There is no financial buyout clause should Saban leave for another job. But should Saban leave on his own, he would forfeit the remainder of his salary. Should Alabama choose to dismiss Saban without cause, he would still receive his full contract compensation.

Richard Gill is the CEO of Shaw and you can book it that Saban will be back in B.R. come Sunday night. Money talks.

He is not CEO. That is Jim B. Gill is Executive VP. And yes Gill is very tight with Saban.

I understand what your saying advocate, but anything that has to do with big money and LSU is going to have Shaw group involved. Don't pass it off as false just because of the guy this morning not having his shite straight.. believe me I laughed at his post also. The Shaw involvement will be there though.

whew...close call there....I thought you were talking about John Brady when you said JB. I was thinking the turnover at Shaw was about to be out of this world.

I will say this, Paul Bryant, Jr. is not the meddler and loudmouth that some people would try and proclaim him to be. He is primarily a money man, and he does not hold the strings to Alabama's program like some would believe.
He is nothing like Bobby Lowder.
The idea that he would talk to Terri Saban in such a manner, or care who they had at their house is complete and utter bullshite. ANY credibility I might have entertained from this "source" is obviously shot.
