Pelini has been mentioned in the past as a likely successor...

Well given that several players are in trouble for next year, that sort of take away the excitement for next season.
He maybe taking a break...It's been 10 years..and that's about the max run these days..

OK It looks like JH might coach at UM for $5M.
Posted on 12/25/10 at 5:54 pm to STLSU
It looks like it will be in the $4M dollar range but yeah Les Miles looks like a pipe dream to coach at his alma mater. He made up with his playing buddies but people still grief on him up there according to these mods.

The most unsettling thing about the report is the mention that Gary Patterson might be a leading candidate.
If/when/should Les leave, I'm really hoping Patterson comes here.

I'll believe this with another link, preferably and Ohio related link. If it happens to be true then wow.

That link says the OSU athletic director already debunked the rumor FWIW

Why is it always Penn State with you guys? He actually coached at Ohio State and it's just as close to Columbus as it is to State College, from his hometown. Of course, he doesn't even have family there anymore. But to each their own in believing this stuff.

This would be bad timing for OSU for a coaching search if this is true.

well that's kinda weird.

Not that they would ever do it, and even sub Harbaugh in for Miles at Michigan if you want, but how much could those 3 guys taking those 3 jobs completely change the landscape of college football in one off-season.
