Let me start by saying nobody really knows what is going on behind the scenes.

I've heard jimbo is the top guy but after him who is it.

Herman most think will go elsewhere

I've seen Larry fedora name pop up

I think their A-#1 prime target is Jimbo and they're gonna do whatever they can to land him. In the end, I think they will. Chip Kelly and Bob Stoops are two others.

Bob Stoops is not coming here. He is the opposite of a realistic option.

It just seems like its fisher or coach o. I know people may seem mad about coach o but I don't see any other option unless some nfl names are out there

realistic options with odds:

Jimbo Fisher= 33%
Larry Fedora-N Carolina-9%
Orgeron-25%
Herman-Houston- 20%
PJ Fleck-W Michigan-6%
Cliff Kingsbury-Texas Tech-2.5%
Jim Mora Jr-UCLA-6%
Holgerson-W Virginia-2%
Kleiman-N Dakota-1%
Craig Bohl- Wyoming HC and ex N Dakota HC-2%

Field from colleges-2%
FEILD from NFL (assistants)-2%

James Franklin -Penn St- 8% (and rising)
Dan Mullen- Mississippi St- 1.5%
Aranda- DC LSU- 5%
Willie Taggart- S Florida Bulls-1.5%

Names I delibertly left off:

Kelly-49ers . No way he is leaving the NFL to come coach at LSU

Peterson and Shaw- aren't leaving there schools to coach LSU. Are at their dream jobs.

Petriono and Briles- We didn't fire Miles in order to hire controversial scumbags

If I left anyone off please add to the list.

I'm pretty much getting this feeling as well. I'm getting the sense that Fisher might be happening. Either that or the administration is keeping things very close to their vest.

kliff Kingsbury is a great offense mind and the 3rd youngest HC in college football at 36 years old. He won OC of the year at Houston and would take care of one side of the ball, which is a knock many have on Orgeron. He is longshot but is as viable as PJ Fleck and some of the other names thrown around.

Yes, I think Peterson would be the favorite even over Fisher if he were truly in play. But word is that he loves the northwest and is at his dream job right now. So really we got no shot at him dispite the announcers on tv saying LSU is a top 5 job and we could get pretty much anyone we want. When it comes down to it there are quite a few coaches we just got no shot at.

What about Mike Gundy? Just asking.

My preference would be JF+Aranda or EO+Aranda+great OC hire. Don't know much about Gundy.

Honestly at this point. If they cannot hire Fisher, I say hire Aranda if he wants it. If not it will be a crap shoot. At that point it would have to offerred to Coach O with conditions like Keeping aranda and making him Associate head coach and Hiring lane kiffin. Anything short of that, we are asking for a shite show long term. Sure most Lsu fans would want Gruden, Saban, or Urban, but those coaches are pipe dreams even for Texas.
