If Mack Brown was smart, which he is, he would go after Shannon hard and it would be quiet a coup if he could get him to UT as the new DC.

Apparently he backed off from Kent while things were unfolding yesterday. Texas is probably gonna hire an OC and DC ASAP so they can at least limit the damage on recruiting.

I would love for Randy Shannon to be LSU's DC. You people making fun of RS obviously know nothing about football. Great DC. Not ready to say he is a bad HC just yet. Unfortunately for him, he had J Harris at QB.

Randy Shannon would be a good hire for UT. I think he would also be a good fit for them to save some face in recruiting.

I agree, I want Randy Shannon as far away as possible from our recruiting grounds...he can recruit with the best for sure and would be an upgrade at DC for ole Mack Brown IMHO

I saw on Orangebloods that Rick Minter was going to be Kentucky's DC not Shannon. Shannon is apparently in the running for the DC job at Texas.

the staff that was hired at Fla. were good coaches.
