Some of you folks are ridiculously negative. Sheeesh.
The dude should do very well. I'll cheer like hell for him and will not start bellyaching until I see any poor performances.
The idea that he did poorly as HC at UL is indicative of poor OC qualifications is silliness.

He wasn't hired to take over our team. Just because he wasn't a successful head coach doesn't mean he won't be a successful OC. Like many others though, I'm cautiously optimistic.

Well, I guess we shouldn't be surprised since that name has been continually popping up as a favorite since last season. Hope for the best!

He was very successful as a headcoach at Tulsa FWIW.

BTW, looks like BelowPar nailed it again

If true, welcome aboard Coach Krags.
Now, get your arse to work.

People keep bringing up Louisville as if Tulsa never happened.

especially when anybody can update it.

He was AWFUL at UofL

I'm just gonna go ahead and stand on this white line.
Wish I was savvy enough to post pictures. Yesterday when this Kragthorpe thing came out I just said I was dead center of the street car tracks (let's pretend they're all shut down so I won't get run over) in the middle of the neutral ground on this one.
It absolutely can NOT be worse than Crowton. We'll see.

Charlie Weis was a pretty terrible HC at Notre Dame, but everyone on here seemed terrified when he was selected Fl's OC.
So why the hate for Krag because of his time at Louisville but the fear of Weis despite his time at ND?

Good, safe hire
I agree, and I'm excited. Can't wait to see the spring game and how the QB's respond to this guy.

Despite all the goddamn negativity on this board, I'm actually encouraged with this hire. A good mind that can come in and coach our QB's is a positive thing.
Run first style fits with what Miles wants to do, but he has gotten some success out of his QB also.
Welcome, Krags

Krags was probably the best choice available for what Miles wants to do. I am willing to give him a shot. His offensive numbers aren't very impressive on the whole, but that was the past. I hope he can stay here long enough to show results with all the off the field personal issues he faces.
