Krags was probably the best choice available for what Miles wants to do.

Disagree. Harsin would have been a much better hire and he still fits that bill.

I've said before that I'm willing to work with Krag and I stand by that. He's not the homerun hire we were all hoping for, but it certainly could be a lot worse.

So why the hate for Krag because of his time at Louisville but the fear of Weis despite his time at ND?
Because some LSU fans have that sort of reaction no matter what news comes out about LSU.

These are the same people that complain when no coffee is in the pot, but readily take the last cup without starting another brew....... Bastards

I'm going to assume yes. This is a fairly big deal so I'm assuming this was discussed at great length.

What Harsin?

The one that was hired as the OC at Texas a couple weeks ago?

Yes, and that's why we went after Harsin until Texas offered him a butt-load of money before the Cotton Bowl.

Timing didn't work out unfortunately.

I am actually convinced that half of the fan base are complete idiots that would have only been happy if we would have hired Gruden or Leach as an OC. Damn some of you people are just completely fricking retarded.

The dude should do very well. I'll cheer like hell for him and will not start bellyaching until I see any poor performances.

The idea that he did poorly as HC at UL is indicative of poor OC qualifications is silliness.

I'm all for this hire... if he can get the offensive production into the top 40.

It's funny, because things set up really well for Kragthorpe to come in and be very, very successful.

-Senior QB (assuming JJ keeps the job)
-Experienced OL
-Loaded at the skill spots (that doesn't really ever change at LSU)

Even if Gary stayed (which I don't think he should have), we probably would have improved offensively (since we jumped like 30 spots from last year to this year).

Our offense could jump like 30 again spots and Kragthorpe will be a hero.

If we got into a bidding war with ut we would have lost, but we can afford to pay a 7 figure oc salary if we choose.
