Whatever it is I hope we put a time on it. I'd hate to lose Herman because we were waiting on Jimbos answer.

What LSU offered in money is part of a strategy. FSU won't flinch to match the money, but the money insures they flinch at something else. The something else is what Jimbo wants.

Guaranteed money over a long-term contract? FSU will match the yearly pay increase, but not the extended term?

Eh if I was Fla State I would match that. Not many teams have a coach that gave them a championship.

Jimbo's TE/Recruiting Coord is Tim Brewster, a stud recruiter. I'd imagine he brings him with him.

Interesting that you say that looking at the anonymous ACC coach referenced in the 247 article:

"Does the LSU millions help him in his fight for research and funding for his son? That’s what’s important. Family.”

Yeh that's part of the reason I said that. I think it plays a big part in any decision he makes.

And last look generally wins, in my experience.

I agree. Like I said they'll have a few days to rally the troops and have a come to Jesus meeting. They'll realize there's not much out there and meet the demands. At least gays how it usually works.

LSU would have been better to go there in the middle of the night, give him his deal, put a bag over his head and get him out of there in the middle of the night

Lol so we are almost going to pay double for a head coach and then still have to possibly make Aranda the highest paid coordinator in the country?

What y'all gonna do when LSU loses its first game?

Lol we not losing to BYU with any coach. But either way, no one is expecting a nation title next year! It'll be a rebuilding year either way. I feel like we will be fine in the long run with Jimbo.

Not sure. Apparently Tommy tweeted in favor of Les last fall when Jimbo was in favor. There is no doubt that Tommy is the better coach with more depth of knowledge. I guess the issue is whether Jimbo and Tommy want to work with each other. Truly believe that most of the 2003 staff share a special friendship and bond as a result of that season. Tommy loves LSU, and hope that he continues to bring state of the art S&C to LSU. The Australian telemetry Tommy employs is great stuff.

I don't know where that is coming from? Jimbo hasn't agreed to terms yet, let alone talked to any assts. This is just guess work on someones part

The issues that Jimbo have with the decision to leave Tallahassee are not centered around money. So an FSU counter isnt the end. Think back to Saban and Texas. Money wasn't an object for him. Family, legacy, control cant be bought

Once you have won a NC, you don't accept that someone who sits in an office making phone calls all day, gets to tell you how to win the next one
