Contrary to internet rumors, Jimmy Johnson has not been offered the Arkansas head coaching position.
However, sources have confirmed that Arkansas had actually offered Johnson’s HAIR a $150,000 annual contract. U of A Foundation donors had also pledged to raise the $35,000 buy out required by Johnson’s HAIR.
On Sunday, Johnson’s HAIR released the following statement through its agent,
“At this point in our career, we believe it is in our best interest to decline this attractive offer, remain in the FOX NFL studio and out of the wind.”
