Miles didn't beat up on shitty teams, he just won the games. So I probably would view dominating wins as a positive.

In all seriousness, I feel when placing signs in your yard it is best for the body of the sign to be the color of your house with the letters the color of your shutters and trim pieces (as long as they are contrasting colors)

Beating teams by a lot they should beat by a lot does not mean he should get the job.

That's pretty low standards for a coaching hire for a program like LSU.

Since 2011, jimbo has recruited about the same as LSU. That's with frank and O's time period.

Jimbo has 3 conference losses last year and again this year. He's not perfect.

I was early on the Herman train, going back to last year before he was a sensation on this board. I thought Herman was a can't miss hire and I also thought Fisher was a homerun hire. I was deeply depressed when they decided to keep Miles on. I would have probably thrown up in my mouth a little bit at the thought of Orgeron getting the job.

Fast forward a year. I still like Herman and would be happy to have him but I'm no longer convinced he is a can't miss coach. I think the odds are that he likely will be the next great coach but my expectations have been tempered a bit. I still think Fisher is a can't lose hire. He will always recruit well and he'll at least have LSU in the conversion for the West title and the playoffs most years. I would love to have him.

But I like what Orgeron has done with this team. The offense needs a major overhaul but I believe he'll be committed to getting it done. The players love him and the coaches love him. True, the schedule has not turned out to be as formidable as we once thought but does anyone believe we would be 6-3 (4-1) with a 10-pt loss to UA if Miles was still here? I think we'd be 4-5 at best and maybe not even that. Every facet of the team has improved under Orgeron. Could any interim coach have pulled this off? Maybe, but they didn't, Orgeron did. We'll never know. I'm also intrigued about the idea of Aranda getting the head job. I think he would kill it.

The LSU fan base puts too much emphasis on "skins on the wall". If a coach is the right guy, he's the right guy. I would be happy with Herman, Fisher, Orgeron, or Aranda.
