Lol he was offered the Michigan State job and turned it down. I want him here but if Cincinnati make the Playoffs he isn’t leaving unless it’s to go to OSU or ND. Now if the committee does us a favor and takes a 1 or 2 loss SEC school over Cincinnati then I think he comes here.

Dantonio, Kelly, Jones, and Fickell all did well there. Even Tubbs did okay there, and he stinks.
Cincinatti, their program being in Ohio and the conference they’ve played in, they’re set up for success…much like Houston. So it’s difficult to know how much a coach drives it or the program/situation drives it. Don’t get me wrong, Fickell is clearly a good coach, but hiring a coach from that program has some risk, as does hiring a coach from the Houston program.

It might be an nfl coached or a possible ncaa playoff coach. Maybe that’s why they kept O on to after the season plus bowl Bc he might have to recruit till that coach is avail probably after early signing.
