He's the Herman of last year

So what you are saying is he will be the most sought after coach next year??

And we are not South Carolina, he will come if offered! Still, I am not saying he should be the coach; but the arguments against him are uneducated. He should be interviewed. I am not sold on re-cycled coaches, not always worth their inflated price tag!

What recycled coaches would we even consider? Wouldn't call Herman recycled

Hey man you might need to check on dem Horns after today. You might be in the same boat we in. So start praying for a coach. Lol
Fleck is a awesome coach like Herman but there no need for talking his conference down. The American is lucky to be a little part of the big pie. Herman lost today to Navy. Just because he beat Florida St and comes from Ohio St. People are having Cows! I think JA said he wants a top coach from a top program. Let's see what happens

yeah and then he went to a shitty Utah program. Florida didn't hire him straight from bowling green. And we won't hire fleck straight from wm

Nothing against Fleck, but beating Northwestern and Illinois hardly measures up to Florida State and Alabama. shite how many coaches in America have beaten both of those teams lately?

So he became a great coach because he went to Utah? Lol. You would have never hired him tressel or mike tomlin.

I'm saying he needs a bit more on his resume instead of his big wins against Illinois and northwestern. Just stop you're making yourself look bad.

He can get a job at a lesser program like Texas then maybe move up to the LSU job.

I don't get this line of thinking... Rich Rod had his resume at West Virginia and he flops at Michigan. Tommy Bowden had his resume at Tulane then flops at Clemson. Charlie Strong...well I think you get my point.

The other point is why do we think LSU should never "settle" for a coordinator or coach from a smaller conference?? This is the type of arrogance that knocks you on your arse! While yes we are a top 10 job look at the other top programs that chose to take that "less road traveled" coach. Georgia with Richt, Florida State with Jimbo, Clemson with Dabo, Ole Miss with Freeze, Oklahoma with Stoops, etc. And there the flops too which is a lot longer list.

There is more to picking a coach than looking at their win/loss record or where they coached before.

One thing you must demand is a recruiter, at least if he fails at the Win/Loss game the players will be their for the next coach.

Isn't the competition relative? When was the last time Western Michigan been ranked in top 25, the second longest winning streak in the NCAA, beaten TWO big x teams?

It's not like he's coaching bama in the mac. What he is doing is relative to South Carolina winning the sec.

Trying to discredit his accomplishments due to the league he coaches in is silly. Jim tressel, Jim harbaugh, urban Meyer, Bryan Kelly, all started their head coaching careers at the same level or lower.
