Sal Sunseri will be one of the leading candidates. Good luck to him if he gets it. That's home.

They could try and re-hire a reformed Mike Haywood.

Played there, but not sure the coach he played under. His son was the QB there the past two years, too.

He's from the area. It makes sense. Heck of a coach that I'd hate to lose, but advancement is advancement and you can't knock a guy for it IF it happens.

Would be happy for him if he gets it, but relieved if he doesnt.

Son won't be an issue?

I think Graham made a bad mistake, btw.

This would have been a good fit for Malzahn if he had waited a bit more.

Pitt wasn't coming for Malzahn. Too many connections to the guy who just left them.

I would expect about a one week "search" and then Sal gets hired unless he's just screwed the wrong person uo there. They got bit by going outside the family. They'll want a guy who loves Pitt and would stay until the end of time. That's Sal.

Would be returning to grounds he is very familiar with, seems kind of like a no brainer. You would think Pitt would look into him, especially after someone like Graham (no ties to area or Pitt) bolted after 1 year.

Side Note: Rice fans are still mad he left after 1 season.

Edit: Bama people how good of a recruiter is he?

gotta think Paul Chryst has a shot at this one. of course they might try to get a Pitt guy after all this shite which would help Sunseri.

I wonder if Pitt would hire Tom Bradley? After all that they've been through - firing Wanny, then Haywood, and now Graham, they need someone who would be loyal to Pitt or someone from that area.

indeed, going from haywood to grahams scheme was a large transition and now pitt will be implementing a third different scheme in 3 years? yikes.
