I'd be fine with Rebowe. Fans always have an inflated list. I read some Cajuns fans are speculating Sumlin. LMAO Not happening.
I like the way the search is being coordinated.
Contrary to the opinions of many of the tards on here, most Cajuns fans don't think they're in the same league as LSU.
We should, imo, be the second best team in the state.
La Tech - Better conference and history, but shite location. Can't really see why someone not from the area would want to go there. Not much to do and Bible belt.
Tulane - We have the advantage here with academic standards, although, they may not apply to athletes. Not sure.
UL Monroe - See Tech minus the history and conference.
I think UL's ceiling is Southern Miss. Solid mid-major. That's all I'm hoping for. No illusions of grandeur.

But a lot do. And I bet some on this list include a few decision makers.
It wouldn't surprise me in the least bit to see them hire Canada, over more qualified options, simply because they would view it as a "win" over big brother.
Someone should talk some sense into Canada and let him know that if he dreams of being a big time head coach that ULL is not the place to go to make that happen. At least he would be smart enough to jump ship, even if its to a slightly better group of 5 programs, if he can ever get his name hot enough. If not, he will end up just like Hud because nobody will want to give him an OC job at a decent school because he failed as a HC and doesn't stay put anywhere as an OC.

why in the hell would Canada take a pay cut, for a dead end job

Maybe so.
Bustle’s claim to fame was being Ron Mexico’s OC at V Tech.

I got an email third hand from a “well connected”sauce (take that for what it’s worth) that the three finalists were as follows:
Sonny Crumbie (OC at TCU)
Todd Orlando (DC at Texas)
and Sumlin
Sumlin had some budget demands around hiring assistants so they were polling the Boosters to see if they could raise the cash to meet.
Again, I have no connections. I don’t know the name of the insider, but got an email last night that these were the 3 potentials.
Grain of salt. I wouldn’t place any wagers based on this.

He might take it to get a HC job and quite possibly to get away from O.

Aren't those the same names being mentioned for the SMU job?
The top 2 are interesting because they would shake up the recruiting landscape for this years class(2018).

My sauces tell me it’s either Boudreaux or Thibodeaux.

I think Sonny Dykes is being named at SMU.

Shocking...to no one who has a brain.
People are fricking stupid.
Set your sights on someone attainable. I'm not even sure Sumlin would be a good fit if he would remotely be interested.

Dude, Sumlin is not going to ULL. He is a finalist in only the minds of very young and/or delusional people.
Posted on 12/11/17 at 1:44 pm to dpd901
I wouldn't believe anything your "source" tells you then. If he said Sumlin is a finalist, then he has no idea what's going on. Sumlin walked away from UCF, he was never interested in ULL
