TTFWIW, but today Mark May said on a local radio station that IF Clemson or Tennessee would broker a nice enough deal for Michigan, that UM and Rich Rod would part ways today.

What a clusterfrick that would cause?

I don't doubt this at all. I don't think it will happen, but I could see it.

clemson won't pony up the kind of cash necessary for such a deal

UT maybe but I don't see it.

It is starting to look like the RR-UM marriage was a bad one.

I was merely poking fun at the complete lack of credibility that ESPN has when predicting coaching changes a la last years Miles to Michigan call by Herbstriet. PS Book it

how much cash are we talking about? I don't think it would be that much considering both sides appear to have made a bad move.

things like this always find a way to get worked out.

i could see RR realistically taking a slight pay cut and you know Michigan could get a yankee on the cheap

They are going to get a big name. It is the latest trend in the SEC and they want thier piece of the pie. Tenn. can also afford to pony up some big coin if need be.

I could see RR going to Clemson, but not UT. I would think if UM and RR are at odds, Clemson could get a pretty good deal.

If Clemson could pony up that kind of money, I thought they were possibly gonna go after Mike Leach.

I don't understand why everyone is going nuts about RR at Michigan. He didn't really have much of anything that could be useful to his system to work with. Personally, I think in 5 years or so they could be competing in the big 10.

I will say I just about shite myself the other day when RR admitted in an interview he had no idea about the team when he took the job. He basically said, he went there for the name alone and had no idea how empty the cupboards were. He didn't even look at the roster. Did anyone else see that? Even if it's a cop out for the struggle, why embarrass yourself by sayingt that?!

Or insult the kids on your team! You know the UM players appreciated his frank thoughts on them!

I'd imagine UM would want the buyout plus some back of what they paid last year to wvu

Nah. I think UM would let him go with no buy out. Lots of unhappy people at UM!

complete bullshite. of course he knew what was there, he just thought he was smart enough to make it all work.

did he run a different defense too? his senior laden defense quit on him- and that falls on the coach, plain and simple.
