This sounds familar.

RR is not going anywhere. Michigan will love him in a couple of years, once he gets people in place that can run his type of system.

Why would RR leave UM to go to UT or Clemson?
1.) UT and Clemson are a step down from UM.
2.) He's a big name and doesn't want to hurt his credibility by job jumping which would kill his recruiting efforts.
3.) Peoples opinions of him will change if he starts winning, and there is no where to go but up for him now.
4.) He's making a lot of $$$ now, and even if UT or Clemson offered more $$$ it would make his job a lot lot harder IMO.

I agree with your assessment except this one. Petrino and Saban are recruiting ok and they are bombarded with this stigma.

If RR isnt happy and UM boosters and exec arent happy, I could see a move.

Mark May said on a local radio station that IF Clemson or Tennessee would broker a nice enough deal for Michigan, that UM and Rich Rod would part ways today
Why would you pony up a nice sum of money for a coach who has 3 wins on the year? That doesn't seem like something that would get a fanbase/boosters excited about their new coach.

Yes, I agree. I always make big decisions based on small windows in life. If my wife cooks a shitty dinner one night, divorce is the only choice. If my kid cries too much one day...social services here we come!

I'm guessing you are not familar with what he did at West Virginia.

No I have no clue.

I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, but I guess you are that stupid afterall.

i hope you are not referring to lsu's d. yes a vetern d-line but extremely young and inexperienced in the lb corps and defensive backfield.

And if that doesn't work, they'll be asking Congress for a bailout.

and who would want Rich Rod? Pat White and Slaton made him what he is today, 3-8 at last count. No one in their right mind would pay big bucks to get that goat.

Well he had the Bama offer well before $$$ to the gig.

His offense took Tulane to an undefeated season and made Tommy Bowden look good at Clemson. The day he left Clemson was the beginning of the end for Bowden.
He has had two losing seasons in his career, both in the first season a new school. It takes a little time to implement his offense and get in the atheletes.
As for Slaton and White making him. He recruited them and tailored the offense around them(it was vastly different under Shawn King).
Ask 100 football fans excluding LSU, Oklahoma State, WVU, and Michigan who would they want as their head coach Miles or Rodriguez. How many do you think pick Miles?

You don't think our D has quit on Miles?
Besides we are not that young. 5 seniors, 3 juniors starting

I have to assume this is a joke. RR is probably one of the top 5 coaches in the NCAA.

the effort was outstanding for every game exept the ole miss game. most of our defensive problems are due to the inexperienced db's blowing coverages not lack of effort imo.

I'll take it.
Wouldn't happen BUT..... what about Rodriguez with Shepard at his disposal?

Add Seastrunk(sp?) to the backfield.
