One thing became crystal clear today….

The line that’s been floating around that reads something like - “It’s a done deal, SW has his guy locked up and ready to deliver to Baton Rouge” - is a complete and utter falsehood.
Woody is actively in the field, hunting for his guy as we speak. I hope he can lock it down quickly because that Wednesday announcement target (put out by JV last night) is quickly approaching.

Because the mere fact he is having to go back to Brian Kelly (for a second time - BK had already turned it down once) let you know he doesn’t have a guy to deliver to Baton Rouge.

That is so damn lame, you know what you get with that guy. If Fickell, BK, Arranda, Rhule turn us down — then go with an excellent coordinator like Marcus Freeman. It’s either a cheaper miss or a grand slam and his contract won’t be stupid money.

This is just flat out idiotic - why in the hell would reports surface today that he is pursuing Brian Kelly if he already had his guy locked up. That makes zero sense, and reports like that wouldn’t simply appear out of thin air.
