All the news on the OM side were that he would be announced as HC but allowed to coach the playoffs (on the idea Tulane would lose Round 1 and he would be in Oxford for the transfer portal). A number of coaches on the current staff are not planning to follow Lane and would hold it down until Dec. 22 when Tulane loses the 12-5 seed game

I'd call that a Kiffin issue. It's been a long time since he left TN in such an ugly way but that shite is not forgotten.

sure so lane sending his wife here was just random. if the deal with sumrall was done before lanes wife came and everyone talked about lsu being in on lane then that means lsu just decided to troll a coach? im not sure what makes you beleive your source after what's happened throuought all of this. you've been lied to ,obviously .

It wouldn’t even be as hard as many people say. Just go back to the original signing day and push the portal window after. If the change was made to allow portal signees to be on scholarship and participate in Spring, but not officially enroll until Summer, then the calendar would set up perfectly.
This would give clear windows for the end of the regular season, Bowls and Playoffs, Coaching changes, Recruiting, Portal, and Spring Football.

Wym? Ole Miss can just have Joe judge / CWJ coach playoffs and have sumrall take over after the season?

Delly's article said Sumrall wanted to coach in the playoffs option like Morris. Ole Miss would want him there to deal with the portal and recruiting. What would happen if Tulane met Ole Miss in the playoffs?
