Ole Miss had a deal in place to hire Dave Doeren NC State head coach.

Why the hell would you leave NC State for Ole Miss whose gonna get the book thrown at them?

Dan Wolken reported it and if the NCAA case caused anything in the coaching search I think he would have announced it. Matt Luke got the Ole Miss job because Fitz got injured in the egg bowl. If Luke didn't play at Ole Miss he wouldn't have the Ole Miss job.
