Never thought I would say this but that Northwestern victory doesn’t look so bad either.

He’s good, but probably not ready for a top 5 job like LSU

He went 9-5 last season with a stacked team and one of the best QBs in college football. Got pounded in the AAC title game by Army

This year he’s 6-1 with the best win being Duke

The way he remade his offense on the fly to accomodate losing his best player earns him a lot of points in my book. Compare that to the Nuss mess we've been watching.

Was Kirby a risk, how about Lanning was he of course they were .Sometimes uyou have to take a risk .Sumrall has been a Assistant,DC, and a HC for 4 or 5 years. Some fans act like LSU is elite and better than everybody, well they are not they need the balls to make the right decision not the one fans think is right. If it were up to fans we would have hired Lincoln ,I’m haven’t done well at USC,Riley or the other losers yhey wanted.

And what has Kiffen done that make him a slam dunk.

Pretty sure he played under Mike Archer at Kentucky when Archer was a defensive coach.

How would BK do in that situation? He would have sucked I would say

He had to sign 2 classes worth of players and won the SEC West.

Don't start with the revisionist bullshite now.

What does one have to have done to be a slam dunk? We can nitpick every candidate because the perfect candidate does not exist

He's a good coach but even Tulane people say he isn't ready

I mean he may not be “ready” but how tf would Tulane know what a championship coach looks like?

Based in what?

He took over a cincy team that hadnt won more than 8 games inover a decade and took them to 10, then 11, then 12 wins.
He also took an lsu team with a losing record and 38 players to the sec champ game the first season.

Some revisionist history here

I want new blood like this guy. No more old guys.

Some of the criticisms are hilarious…his best win was Duke! Yeah, no shite, a P5 win for Tulane.

BTW- Tulane started the year with two P5 wins, including dominating Northwestern. Their only loss is at Ole Miss.

Tulane had two straight home run hires!
