Give us a little nugget on this situation because I think there is a damn good reason he isn't locked down yet by a signature and recruiting isn't it. The fact that he hasn't signed yet is a lot more concerning than the OC hire right now.

Is there a particular reason you would want that?

You do realized he is currently under contract through the 2018 season?

Dave can leave at any time regardless if he signs the extension or not. Guess you'll have to keep on worrying about him leaving until he actually leaves.

When Houston has hired it's coach and it's not Orlando, this will be settled.

Just take a guess. That's all Random does.

Quit with the mass hysteria. Aranda has given no indication that he's even entertaining offers from other schools. He's about to become the highest paid assistant in the country, after 1 year with us. If he leaves, which he isn't, it wouldn't be because we didn't try hard enough to keep him.

Oh no no this will never be settled. The NFL season is about to end. What if a NFL team wants Aranda?!?!?!? What will we do?!?!?!? He might leave us!!!!

He's still at the Taco Cabana in Houston, waiting on Tom Herman to show up.

Apparently it's done but the board must review and sign off. It's technicalities and that's it. Not because of any interest in UT. However of an NFL team comes calling that could change

Think about it. Aranda is building his reputation. He's getting $2M a year, has a ton of superior defensive talent at LSU, the players are already experienced in his schemes. WHY would he go somewhere else at this time?

He CAN. But, more than likely he will not leave this year if he signs his new contract.

You do realize that being under contract means absolutely nothing of someone is willing to buy the contract out right?

Come on man, I promise you that if he has in fact signed we would have known.
