This

People still assume all G5 is the same when it’s dividing into tiers… the MAC and CUSA and Sun Belt are on one and the AAC and MWC are on another…

Money wise, no doubt. But I’d offer as far as the quality of the league goes, the Sun Belt is going to vie with the AAC as the #2 G5 league.

Sun belt is in the best position of the G5s to have long term success

I’m sure you wouldn’t leave for double your salary, right?

yeah that's a dumb move

must be completely about more cash and then he's hanging it up or going back to being an assistant in 3 years for walking around money

Sure, but it proves he's not moving to build something great.

I'm sure he had the Tulsa job in hand, since he's from Oklahoma originally, and just shoved it aside for a paycheck.

Good for Tulsa not hiring his arse!

So... Charlotte has more money and resources but Tulsa, the smallest school in FBS w/hardly any donors, is where he should go to build something great? What the what?

After a poor year one the guy went three years in a row winning 10 games at friggin Ohio. That's two more 10 win years than Solich did in 16 seasons. I don't see how he'll be destined to suck at Charlotte but would have been "building something great" at Tulsa.
