Looks like strike 3 might be Alex Grinch for DC.

I’ve seen a lot of OSU fans starting to defend his play calling on X

Ross Bjork and Bill O’Brien in the same week. Wow. Love to see a guy like Day starting to really slip though

Homerun hire for Day. Allows him to get dirty in other parts of the program. O’Brien had two top 10 offenses at Bama and a Heisman winner. You guys need to stop thinking it’s the GM Bill. He’s past that.

Seriously. Bryce Young was a great college QB with star WRs and he somehow managed to royally frick that up.

Heisman and a top 10 offense. Yea he messed that up. Do you guys just write shite and hope it’s correct?

O’Brien was so good he had NFL teams offering entire drafts for Young. Who looks like the biggest bust since Russell.

Yeah Ohio state fans on r/cfb are trying to spin this as an "aged like milk" situation where everyone is shitting on the hire but he's going to be great. They think BOB was hired to just call Day's plays.

They don't realize they're going from 1st down screen, 2nd down run, 3rd down "frick it, Marv is down there somewhere" to 1st down screen, 2 down flip play screen, 3rd down run up the middle.

Edit: BOB also spent 8 years with Saban and Belichick and has 0 championships. He's a fricking unicorn.

He's got Jim Knowles. That was actually an insanely great hire. He killed it at okie lite and has really improved Ohio state since getting there.

Bill O’Brien spent eight total years working for either Bill Belichick (2007-2011, 2023) or Nick Saban (2021-2022) and didn’t win a Super Bowl or a National Championship.

That’s gotta be a club with a membership of one

Yeah well continue to laugh no matter what you say. Why wasn’t he hired as a head coach after Bama and Bryce Young?

Who knows what deal he had with Belichick. Maybe he saw he wants to be back in college after thinking nfl was where he wanted to be. Nobody knows that answer. But he’s a damn good coach.

[Kevin J Stone] Hearing Bill O’Brien absolutely wants the job & BC wants him to have the job. Need to settle on terms & money at this point

I have no doubt he wants that job. He’s from that area, and don’t think he planned on leaving so abruptly, just walked into a buzzsaw. BC opening up is like a sign from the gods to him probably

This board is full parrots. Same people criticizing Rees yet the guy keeps moving up lol. O’Brien is well respected coach everywhere except message boards. Same thing for Rees.

But I’m sure the posters on TD know better than all those stupid coaches making millions to make these hires
