we have a top 5 recruiting class in 2011...with the potential of a National Championship contender...
I don't like the way the end of this year is shaping up...
GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Its too late in the year with a great recruiting class.
Plus, I'm not sure I trust Alleva and TAF to make a great hire.

I concur...and I am not Miles fan.

No matter what, LSU fans find something to complain about. If we have Miles, they complain. At the thought of losing Miles, we complain. It is never ending.
I think that LSU will be fine either way. Les has his positives and negatives. Another coach will have positives and negatives. Overall, I think that LSU is in good shape and will be competitive for championships whether we keep Les or attract another top coach.
The future is bright!

Late in the ball game to make a big splash.

Someone from the NFL. The season is just ending and lots of guys will be available. The interaction between college and the NFL is pretty common right now. There are lots of good coaches out there - maybe not huge names, but definitely good coaches.

Losing the recruiting class would be my biggest concern. The timing is all wrong for a coaching change right now.

no way a great coach could continue with these goals...

This is it to the point. I havent been the biggest Miles fan especially after last year with the Ole Miss and PSU debacles. However, I must admit that i have one foot on the bandwagon after this year, because even given the luck in beating Tenn and Florida, we did flat out beat Alabama and the Great Saban was outcoached by Miles this year. Again, late in the staGE, IN my opinion to come up with a quatlity coach at this stage. I dont care how much money you throw at someone , a lot of good coaches are content where they are at. Hopefully, Harbaugh or Hoke to Michigan and we beat A&M and all is well.

If we get rid of Crowton, Miles is all good in my book. I'm excited about this upcoming season.
