On another topic, are there any updates on the Title9 situation? Any signs it's looking better, or is it getting worse?

Nothing happens in government from Dec 24 to the weekend after New Years.

Is there any serious expectation that we are legitimately looking at Lack of Institutional Control, or is that just low chance rumors?

I can tell you straight from people that are friends of O. Regardless of what was said in the media O and Aranda did not get along!
Aranda is a tenured professor at Harvard and Orgeron is a high school drop out on the intelligence comparison level; like an Extraterrestrial ET and a Neanderthal side by side.

Neanderthals sometimes got lucky when they were hunting and were able to find a Wooly Mammoth for food before they starved to death.

Brady and Burrow were Ed's Wooly Mammoth.

He's not a Head Coach that has the organizational ability to keep a program at a dominant elite level consistently.

Many people see that now, but many of Ed's Neanderthal buddy's are totally blind to how he's allowed the program to implode overnight.........

Strange to consider Ed a Neanderthal and Aranda ET when Dave just had an abysmal first season at Baylor. Like really terrible.

I’m not defending O or shitting on Aranda but this board has made Aranda out to be some kind of football Rainman for fricks sake.

How’d coach 0 do at his first gig ole miss? Can’t recall... if you had to gameplan with 0 or aranda to win the super bowl who are you picking? It’s not even close.

The Ed O slander in this thread is ridiculous. Especially those knighting for Aranda when this fan base wanted to run his arse out of town a year ago.

Or one is a smarter guy with a master's degree, and the other guy just has a bachelor's degree. You know, like in reality and not your weird comparison.

I would love to see O take over that Baylor team with the covid season. Does he win 2 games?

I doubt seriously the majority wanted to run off Aranda.

His defense was actually very good last season. The game vs Vandy was never in jeopardy and he admitted they were tinkering with things. They can afford that in a game like that which was never going to be in doubt.

The Ole Miss game LSU still could have won by 4 tds? if they didn't take a knee. Some say O had his hands on that game any ways with the blitzing. Idk. It's irrelevant to me, because for the most part Aranda was great last season.

I doubt seriously people wanted to run him off. Especially after what he did against A&M, Georgia, OU, and Clemson. When it mattered most, he stepped it up.

He didn’t do well but Aranda is a good DC not a fricking brain surgeon

It’s like people assume he’s some savant because he’s quiet

Well, his peers and players rave about his intelligence everywhere he goes.

That is documented. These are the first few results from Google.

Texas Tech head coach, former colleague:
quote:

He’s just so smart. Seems like everything comes easy to Dave.”

ESPN's Jesse Temple:

quote:

I have spoken to a number of players and former coaches, and this is generally one of the first things mentioned about what separates Aranda from others in the business. He obviously has one of the great football minds in the college game right now.

Karl Scott, assistant at Alabama:

quote:

called Aranda the “smartest coach I’ve been around.”

DC will either be jim leonard, marcus freeman, or chad staggs. OC will be graham harrel, grimes, or sheridan

You know it's the holiday down time news wise when this particular thread on this board has turned into a bash or praise Orgeron (with Aranda thrown in for good measure).

They should open a stickied thread on the Rant just for the bash/praise posters to go after each other ad infinitum.
