We had the 3rd ranked d in 05, 4th in 06 and 17 in 07.
Two great seasons one good one
College football was completely different then. Doesn't look like Bo adapted at all
There was a reason he was at Youngstown for as long as he was.

Asking Brady is smart,
LSU pulling a FSU with the dc is the opposite. I’m having a hard time believing that someone that was once called the best AD in the country would be dumb enough to force a coach into a affirmative action hire. FSU tried that and they had to fire willie quick and they struggle to raise funds.
I think that is a good way to lose booster support until you are gone as AD

Exactly it clearly changed from then to now, hiring Mason is just repeating that mistake we just made.
Bo was better as a dc than him, mason can’t stop a spread either and has been away from being a dc for 8 seasons.
We are better off going elsewhere

Moscona says he wanted Nielson from the Saints but was told no and that he needed to hire a bigger name, preferably a minority.
This seems like a disinfo campaign. Did O really frick up things that bad with the team? Christ we have several minority coaches on staff.

He also said Ed called Joe Brady and asked for Joe’s input on who would be a good OC.
Interesting, I was under the impression that O and Brady weren't on the friendliest of terms since O found out Brady was leaving for the NFL on the bus ride home from New Orleans

It’s a pretty terrible disinformation campaign if Scott, O or anyone at LSU would have lady scone push that rumor.
If it’s true I don’t see how the big money boosters would be happy. Lipsey is anti st. George but I don’t think he is an sjw. You also risk the mid level boosters refusing to donate

Maybe lady scone is pushing it for his butt buddy Clark? We probably have more minorities on staff than most schools.

O had to be a retard if he thought Brady wasn’t leaving for the nfl.

Everyone leaves. There are no destination jobs in football. The Sabans and Belechiks are the rare exception and coordinators and assistants get fired or leave everywhere. They’d be well advised not to overthink things. Go find the best guy, make him say no.

He can both be upset about how he found out and still remain friendly with the guy. Coaches know the nature of the business and they don’t allow short term disappointments turn into long term grudges for the most part.

Is it true O has been told he has to hire a minority?
Moscona says he wanted Nielson from the Saints but was told no and that he needed to hire a bigger name, preferably a minority.
"Hey Ed, you have to hire a black guy. And I don't care if he runs a 3-4 and you want a 4-3. I don't care about anymore dysfunctional Chinese Fire Drill on Defense either. I just want to keep Ryan Clark and BLM happy. I'm not really concerned what our paying customers think"

O knew he was leaving because the entire deal we worked out with Brady was predicated on him keeping the door open if the nfl offered. He was very up front about this and we LSU was aware.

Tnis is a misread on what Moscano is saying. Hes saying LSU needs a bigger name than Nielsen, and it would be great if its a minority, but it doesn't have to be. Thats what preferable means.
In other words, hes stirring up shite.

I wish I could report something new. I will not post things that have already been reported.

I am anticipating a minority hire for the DC.

Well Freeman is a minority hire and also the best guy on the market. It needs to happen
Posted on 12/24/20 at 3:09 pm to tigerbaitlawyer
Is that because the best person for the job is minority or because he is being forced to make that hire? I would love to get Freeman!
Posted on 12/24/20 at 3:25 pm to tigerbaitlawyer
Freeman it is then
