Plane is still on the ground in Norman, 6 hours after the scheduled departure.
They must have taken down a huge buck.

You got connections, whats the tail number of the Oklahoma plane?

No connections at LSU or Oklahoma unfortunately. Have a major one at Arkansas though, and know how these searches tend to go down these days

It's not the days of old where your AD outright goes and gets his guy, the AD and coach may not even meet in person until the final contract signing. And there's no major athletic department in the country that'll send a plane to pick up a coach in their college town backdoor, there's a camera in every person's pocket these days.

If I've learned ONE thing from the last few coaching searches at both Arkansas and LSU, it's that nobody really knows anything until it's done. Not even the most connected and bigtime boosters.

Yeah it charters out of Lafayette too. It's mostly med transport but I HAVE seen Les Miles deplane from it on a recruiting trip circa 20teens.

No longer seeing this flight on the page, and link in OP doesn't take you there.

Lincoln confirmed.

New aircraft, but the flight from Norman to BTR is rescheduled for today.

N891UP

Also, FlightAware isn't showing the ferry flight from Asheville to Norman if you were wondering how the plane got there.

UPDATE: Flight Rescheduled for this morning. Someone really wants to get from Norman to Baton Rouge

Literally could be a coach coming to recruit for OU.

It literally could be anyone, but that's why we track the flights.

Flight tracker season is by far my favorite part of coaching searches so I am very for all of this, but just fyi these kind of flights aren't how coaching searches happen. They meet at major airport lounges and hotels. What you're looking for is private flights from Baton Rouge to a major airport and a private flight from near a college town to that same airport at roughly the same time. It's too easy to get found out if you go to campus to campus. Chances are that nobody at the Delta lounge in Hartsfield Jackson (Atlanta) knows what, say, Lincoln Riley looks like, and they definitely don't know what the ADs or agents look like.

For example, for Lincoln Riley you'd be looking for a Baton Rouge to Denver flight and an OKC or Norman private flight to Denver arriving at around the same time. It could also happen at any hub airport (eg Atlanta, O'hare, LAX, etc.)

HQ is split between Plano and Baton Rouge. Graves lives in Baton Rouge.

I'm well aware, "HQ" will always be in baton rouge but the offices there are just for Todd and close staff. The business is run out of the Plano office. He has houses in both locations.

Unless you're on a Delta, United, AA, etc. ticket, good luck getting into those lounges. Nobody flying provate will be stepping foot in an airline lounge. The'll meet in a conference room at the FBO.
