BREAKING: Lane Kiffin to interview in Oxford tonight, per Ole Miss beat writers. It's happening.

Didn’t even think to look. Is there one? Not in a position to check myself right now.

Yeah, Carter flew down earlier today. Guess that's why he's not on his radio show tonight.

I'm just now watching one of Carter's press conferences. How big is this dude? He looks like he's 6'7 275

Question is, is this a legit interview, or is it to say "we tried?"

We'll find out when it's announced I guess.

It’s a legitimate attempt on Ole Miss’s part.

Lane Kiffin was just asked if he will be the head coach at Florida Atlantic next season in an interview on Fox Sports 640 AM in South Florida. There was no answer. Just a long 10 seconds or so of silence, then the show went to break.

He may have Norvell or Napier wrapped up but after seeing the social media push for Kiffin, he figured he'd better at least interview him.

We may never know.

And along the same lines, why would Lane agree to the interview if he wasn’t seriously considering OM? Between the conference championship on Saturday and evaluating his career options he has to be slammed. Obviously something substantial here.

And given the chronology, Arky obviously didn’t do enough to wow him.

He needs to bully whoever he's interviewing to sign the contract

He definitely didn't have Norvell wrapped up. If he did he would have signed him. I seriously doubt social media had much of an impact on his decisions.

When it comes to putting asses in the seats to keep your job, social media better matter.
