I didnt think he deserved the spot even if he ran the table, I was wrong, and corrected by my elders, he wins out he gets the job.

Nope. He didn't build the team and didn't hire the coordinators/coaches. He may have recruited some players but this team was built by Les and Frank Wilson.

He has not proved he can build and maintain a program. Period.
So Herman is out for you, right?

I would prefer Jimbo over all of them. If it came down to Orgeron and Herman I would prob rather Herman just because he has shown to be a bright offensive mind. To me, Orgeron is a safe bet to keep the program relevant but not take it to the next level. Herman could do that, or fall completely flat on his face. I think Herman has more upside but is more risky.

So, let me get this right. You fire Miles and Cameron, pay big buy outs and just leave the staff as is with your big hire being a new tight end coach I guess? If LSU does that, they are the biggest joke of a program in NCAA history.

Things keep going as they are, my vote's for Ensminger
My god y'all are dense. Ensminger was not good in his OC stints. Y'all are going to hire him based on 6 games? That's ever dumber than hiring O.
But hey...let's go full throttle with the stupid decisions. Mediocrity here we come!

Amen brother. This is turning in to the biggest shitshow ever. LSU will be the laughing stock of the SEC it we keep two coaches that both failed MISERABLY at thier last gigs.
Their resumes are not adequate for this program.

My point is that you can't give O the credit for the turnaround and none to Ensminger. I'm on board for Herman or Jimbo, was just trying to make a point. I find it odd that O supporters think you have to look elsewhere for an OC when Ensminger's work with the offense is the biggest reason for the team's turnaround.

You would if you are tired of getting screamed at on the sidelines every game.

My thought is that the only way Kiffin leaves Alabama is to be a HQ. Saban understood this and brought in Sark so he can slide into the OC position if/when Kiffin leaves.
So to me, if O doesn't get the head coaching job, he's leaving to be Kiffin's DC, or whatever role Kiffin wants to pay him to do- it's much more likely that O follows Kiffin than vice versa...

Exactly. Another ridiculous point the "Keep Orgeron" crowd is trying to make his how much money it would save LSU to keep O. Like its their money or something. Well if LSU saving money is a reason to keep O, it needs to be a reason to keep Ensminger as well.

If O gets the job it's because they beat everyone. At that point you don't break up the band. Steve Ensminger is your OC

I ma not convinced Ensminger wants the job as OC... It certainly appears he loves the opportunity RIGHT NOW but he hasn't been an OC for some time AND he seemed happy to collect his check as an offensive assistant.
I have not seen anything on the field that makes me think giving the keys to Ensminger is a GREAT idea... Play calling is more creative than under Miles mostly but innovation isn't there.
If Coach O finishes strong I think he is a very reasonable choice but we have to land an up-and-coming, or established, offensive coordinator.
There are some great offensive coordinators that are likely happy to make the lateral move to Baton Rouge... Top Offensive Coordinators

Definitely odd, but I'm pretty sure the O fanbois think that the HC doesnt actually coach, which O fits perfectly. The OC still needs a little bit a x's and o's ability. OOOOR we could just make him a figurehead too and make the WR coach control the strategery.
Two CEO's are better than one, right?
