Pate was touting Lanning last night then today played it way down saying uncle phil will pay out the arse to keep him and he doesn’t really have a reason to leave.

Not sure why they would disagree. LSU is tied for the 2nd most NCs since 2000, 3 consecutive coaches won NCs here, LSU has been bowl eligible for 25 years in a row, Tiger Stadium, huge fan base, only major football school in a talent-rich state, lots of money for coaching/coaching buyouts, etc.
Bama, Ohio State and UGA are about the only other schools that have had similar prolonged success this century to go with great tradition and resources like LSU.

Yeah, Lanning isn't going anywhere. He has it made in the shade. Phil will give him whatever he wants.

Feels like we have at least the slimmest of all chances with Freeman that I don't think are there at all with Lanning
Freeman isn't perfect by any means I just can't believe this board is so opposed since he's probably the only true home run hire that we could get to maybe take a phone call

If they did pull off Freeman, South Bend would implode into the ground. It would be about on the same level as all the wives/live-ins getting beaten and trailer parks burning down in Alabama if Saban came out of retirement. That would be the funniest part about it.

1. Marcus Freeman. would take Freeman 100% if he brings Denbrock back, but his wife seems like a tough sale.
2. Lane Kiffin
3. Kenny Dillingham
4. I'd be perfectly fine with Brohm
Clark Lea, what does his QBs look like who aren't Pavia.
I like Drink, just not for LSU.
Key? Do not want. I know many on here are enamored with him, but all i see is Mario Cristobal at best. Do yall want Mario Cristobal? Decent caoch, but don't want. LSU can be elite, like top 3.
Jon Sumrall, i don't really want him like others do, but if we miss out on our top 5, I'd be okay with a 4 year prove it deal.
Joe Brady said he doesn't like recruiting. Even though we have guys that can do that, that mindset rubs me the wrong way. How will he interact with young players?
