Heard that the Saints OC is going to be considered. Is he a good candidate for HC at this time?

Cowher and Fisher will cost too much for Weaver.

I would like to promoste Mel Tucker but he's not going to get it.

Pete seems like a really bright guy, I don't quite see him as a HC but his stock will never be higher after getting some serious playcalling experience. When he wanted to take an OC job a few seasons ago, Drew was pretty adamant about keeping him here I'd say that's a pretty good endorsement.

I like Pete, another name I would like to see in contention in Chud the OC in Carolina, we need someone here who can help in the development of Gabbert.

I was impressed with him when he was speaking to the media earlier. I'm sure we're going to go after a big name coach, I'm just not sure who we'll be able to get to take the job.

Weaver seems to like Tucker, I'm not sure if he'll get it however.

Rob Ryan?

Houston Nutt. Nah, but seriously I could see them making a run at Rob Ryan, but Jerry will end up paying him a head coaches salary to get him to stay.

Cowher will cost too much.

Ryan = no
It will be an offensive minded coach.

The Jag fans are tired of a boring offense.

Weaver is selling the team. Wouldn't the new owner have input on hiring and budget for the new HC?

Yes, but Weaver is going to make the recommendation. The new guy is NOT a football guy.

The new coach will be Gene Smith's decision, ultimately.

Dunno, in the press conference Weaver said he would help our new Mooslim decide.

I think Smith is going to get to pick his coach or he wouldn't have taken the extension.

That's great news for all those LSU fans wanting Jack Del Rio the last few years.

He's finally available.
