I dont know which Riley thread to post in so I'll land here...
Here's what gives me pause on thinking there's any traction on Riley. Ok they're 8 in the playoff at this point but there's a chance they get into the CFP if they win out based on likelihoods/possibilities that exist ahead of them...
~Bama and UGA will probably meet in the SEC CG. I think most of us would take UGA at this point and a second loss knocks Bama out of the playoff.
~Michigan (#6) and Michigan State (#7) with 1 loss each still play Ohio State. They're out with a 2nd loss.
We could run into a scenario where it's 1. UGA 2. Oregon 3. Ohio State with undefeated Cincinnati and Oklahoma competing for the 4 spot and with the body of work, Oklahoma probably gets the nod.
So Oklahoma gets into the playoff. What if they win the Natty? Most of us don't think thats a likely possibility but humor me. He gets in, he wins a Natty...and then he immediately announces he's leaving for another job? That would be absolutely unprecedented. Never seen something like it.

Idk. Im not reading too much into all the rumors, etc. However, i do know for a fact that if we paid what we did for orgeron and co NOT TO COACH here anymore and we are seriously willing and able to offer $10 million a year plus to our future coach...we will have anyone listening to us and taking us seriously. So, it wouldnt surprise me at all if riley ends up here in the end.
