I like Sloan but he was average calling plays at Tech. The SEC just gets harder going forward and LSU deserves a high level schemer and play caller.

Grubb
Kingsbury
Brady
Rees
etc

It’s mostly Kelly’s offense so it’ll be fine, imo.

I would agree with you if Kelly wasn’t an offensive minded coach. It’s Kelly’s offense and Sloan will call it that way.

If Kelly goes with Sloan and Hankton as Co-OCs, I trust him.

I think it will be someone who already is familiar with Kelly's offense, like Denbrock was. He originally wanted Rees at LSU. Rees decided to stay at ND, and is now at Alabama. If he can't get one of his former OC's I'd bet on Sloan.

If we lose Joe Sloan, we may very well lose Bryce Underwood. Right now is not the time to lose anyone else from this offensive staff. We definitely need to hold on to Sloan, Hankton, and Wilson.

I trust Kelly and your list is strange. Rees is insane, Kingsbury is not a fit at all and we know Joe isn’t leaving being an OC in the NFL.

Seemed like he did pretty well in the bowl game calling plays

You should be thrown off a bridge for even mentioning Rees. Damn man you gotta give Sloan more credit than that clown

So you think Sloan is a better OC than all the guys I listed?

You know what makes an average/below average playcaller MOST of the time? Below average talent. Sorry, but Bill Walsh in his prime couldn't have made La Tech's offense good. AND if you want to go that route blaming coordinators for team performance, then you must hate Blake Baker because he was at Tech 5 years... DC for 4 of those. And Tech's defense wasn't awesome either. Sloan has succeeded at LSU with QBs because he is a good coach AND he has talent.

hands down. He’s the one who developed Jayden Daniels. He’s the one who developed Nussmeier and called the plays for a quarterback who is making his first college start to throw for 395 yards so yes, hands-down better

I trust BK if Sloan is his guy. BK seems to know exactly what he's shooting for offensively.

Aside: Rees is pretty darn solid. He spent most of the season having to polish that turd at QB at Bama, and they got better as the year went on. His last play call against Michigan wasn't the problem. The execution (starting with the snap) was.
