In order for LSU to even talk to Saban Skip would have to get permission from Bama, and that would leak out. The same applies if the conversation/negotiation was with his agent. Love him or hate him, there are enuff of both in both camps, and his hire would potentially split LSU rite down the middle. The man had one great season, lost 3 games a year the rest of the time, 6 this year in Bama,1 decent season at Mich. State, bailed out on the Fins, and he is proclaimed as the Messiah of college coaching?

I am not saying it is correct or not, but I have heard the same info earlier today from a pretty reliable source. Not some inside connection but just someone who doesn't spout off without knowing something.
