That offense is not conducive to having a good defense. They create a lot of possesions by throwing the ball around so much...the clock is always stopped. His teams will always give up 35+ points a game...the defense just gets too worn out.
Have you watched many saints games? Jason David is a walking torch.
I didn't like the sounds of it either, but given Skip's tendencies of hiring unknown coaches, eh...
Feller I know who's connected in the AD says Gary Gibbs was in BR yesterday talking with some muckity mucks. I have no idear of what job he'd be interested in, or if he's even a potential, but he was supposedly in the AD talking coaching. Take it for what it's worth.

BTW, my source is Xtremely serious about it.

Please give proper credit for that. That is a direct post from Fatty Mc Alphabet.
Fatty Mc Alphabet is a man of upstanding character. How dare you slander his name so. He is loved by bartenders, ugly dogs, and mail recipients everywhere.

My source, Mark Young, ESQ, says the same thing. I'll be glad to hold your money.
I'm cutting and pasting this from a non-pay email.

Q: If rumors about Les Miles replacing Lloyd Carr at Michigan turn out to be fact, what would you think about Steve Spurrier taking his place?

First of all, I don’t think it makes any sense at all to speculate on coaches or anybody else who aren’t leaving and we don’t want to leave. But what I would say, if there were a coaching position in college football available anywhere I would be delighted to recommend Steve Spurrier for that position. Steve is a first-rate coach. He has demonstrated in many places that he can produce a winning program. Who wouldn’t want a coach like that?
