Will Ed O let the next D-Coordinator bring in his own safeties and d-line coach?

Honestly you have a DB coach already
Hire a LB coach and bring in Bo Davis for DL coach

I cant See us going with just 3 D coaches on a 10 person staff, or the DC accepting that.

So is Davis able to be hired?
Reading around and others are saying he can’t work in the SEC or something because of his past. What you know on that front?

Yes i don’t think it’s good business to force more than one assistant on a DC

Freeman is a LB coach, would sort of be a setup like Aranda had I believe

I thought I read insiders saying that they weren't going to let Bo Davis in because of his past?

I talked to a friend on 247 that said Bo wasn't coming on because of those issues. TFWIW

Well it might depend on what O wants to do. If Corey gets both CB and Safeties back, there goes Busch's spot. If it is Freeman and he wants to coach LB, well then your left with DL. My guess is O might spend some time in individuals so lets assume it is Bo Davis as DL coach, some periods Bo can be working with DT's and O with DE's, so it similar to what you had in 2017 with Aranda as DC-LB, Corey as DB coach, Dennis Johnson as DL coach but O spent lots of the individual practice period working with DT's sometimes, Johnson DE's and then some days they would reverse it.

Why down votes? DC shouldn't have input to his DL coach? Really?

I am sure there is a reasonable explanation, but why you would want to have to safeties and corners under separate coaches? With the way defenses interchange players these days, how do you handle nickel and dime spots in breakout sessions? I would assume it is just nomenclature and their duties as coaches likely overlap?

I have no idea if this had an effect on 2020, but there seemed to be a lot of disconnect on the field between safeties and corners.

There will not be only 3 defensive coaches. Freeman wouldn't come with that. And how much trouble we had on defense. If we get Freeman he will also get a safety coach.

I'm sure they don't work independently and fight against each other.

Cincinnati, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Clemson have a safeties coach and a cornerbacks coach.

Ohio state's DC is also the secondary coach and they have a separate safeties coach.

A&M's DC coaches safeties and they also have a DBs coach.

Georgia is one of the only ones with only one secondary coach. Kirby is a DB guy and they also have 2 LB coaches on that side of the ball.

Nope on Davis. Where do you get your information? I’d ask for a refund
