2017, Texas A&M (Director of FB S&C)
2016, Florida State (Co-Assoc. Head S&C)
2015, Georgia (Director of FB S&C)
2009-14, Alabama (Co-Assoc. Head S&C)

The resume is impressive but it makes you wonder why he hasn't been retained. Yeah there's been some staff changes but the incoming coach wouldn't have been unfamiliar with him. He was on Alabama's staff with Kirby until 2014 and Kirby didn't keep him in 2016. He worked for Jimbo at Florida State in 2016 and Jimbo isn't keeping him on staff at A&M.

That they looked at it as a stigma and not a selling point illustrates their whole problem.

This does look like a really good staff so far. Could end up being like Frank Wilson's UTSA staff that just gets raided after a couple years because it's all young guys getting a chance to show their worth for the first time.

The previous administration (Authement as President) saw it as a stigma because if they kept having to hire new coaches due to their current ones moving on to better jobs, it meant more time and resources dedicated to athletics. Ray Authement despised spending any time on athletics, even signing off on the scholarships.

Hopefully all that egotistical resentment BS is behind us.

Jabbar Juluke will be the running backs coach and recruiting coordinator. Won't be announced officially until Tuesday.

Kliff Kingsbury surely hates Juluke at this point? He hired him at Tech for like 2 days and Juluke left for LSU. Kliff hired him again and Juluke leaves less than a year later.

Napier is putting together one hell of a recuriting staff.

I know his departure from LSU was kind of messy but I don't really know the reason why. Big time guy to have in the New Orleans area for us, though

Juluke was terrible. Not a good coach and bad recruiter. Napier's first mistake.

Great staff Napier is putting together. Juluke wasn’t ready for a job like LSU but should do good for ULL in NO. I like the Sale hire too. Solid staff in Laffy.

Juluke has the reputation as a great recruiter, but hasn't really brought in the kids to TT. He isn't that great of a recruiter.

I used to talk to Juluke regularly when he was the coach at Karr and I worked in Algiers. I'm not sure he's going to be a great RC. He may do fine recruiting kids to ULL, but I don't think he has the organizational skills necessary to succeed in that role. That was one of Wilson's strengths, and Wilson was Juluke's mentor, but that kind of skill is something you either have or you don't. And I don't think he has it.

I like the other hires, this one I'm a little skeptical of.

Any word on where Stringer and Hall are headed?

Will Hall is being hired as the tight ends coach and associate head coach at Memphis. Hall is a very good coach, he's going to be a huge help for those guys.

So the previous info wasn't completely right. Jabbar Juluke was hired today but it was as RB Coach/Assistant Head Coach. He doesn't appear to be the recruiting coordinator.

Also looks like we're getting 4 star defensive tackle Emmit Gooden in for a visit...

This kid has fallen pretty far. In high school I think he almost committed to LSU, may have committed to Tenn at one point. Arkansas and Mississippi State also got a commitment from him at various points. Out of JUCO it looked like Mizzou was going to get him for a little bit.

He must not have SEC JUCO requirements. (SEC requires more credits for JUCO transfers than other conferences, it's the only instance where they don't just follow the minimum qualification requirements).

Also, the rumors are that we're trying to hire David Johnson from Memphis to be our WR Coach. That would be another great hire for New Orleans recruiting. I'm really hoping for this one.

That wasn't my intention.

It just happens to be a recruit I'm familiar with. I think his HS class was the last time I really followed football recruiting. But anytime you can get a 4 star talent to Lafayette, it's exciting. He's put on a lot of weight in JUCO, so he's going to be more DT than DE.

That would be a great hire. I'd rather him at LSU than the clown we currently have.
