New coach must be a strong recruiter

And love to recruit and have a passion for it. With the transfer portal the way it is, he’s going to have recruit a lot of current guys to stay right off the bat. And Mullen and Fla is a warning of what can happen with a supposedly good game day coach who’s not a strong recruiter.

I guess this is as good a place as any to discuss whether Aranda would be a good recruiter.
Aranda is very respected by HS coaches in LA from his time here. He's also a household name to any Tiger fan and known as a top defensive mind and a high character coach.
He is known in the mid west as an excellent defensive mind as from his days at Wisconsin. As the HC I can see him contacting coaches in the mid west and going to schools to eval prospects.
He's also from Cali and coached at Utah St and Hawaii. He would be at home talking to Cali kids and some of the big poly kids out west.
Lastly, he's now built a name and connections in Texas.
