Y'all keep saying he made the move because it will be easier to get an FBS head coaching job like the two NDSU coaches before him didn't go straight from NDSU to FBS jobs, including one to a Power 5 job. Granted, while he's one two titles at NDSU they've also slipped some under his watch.

A big reason he probably took the job is that in the case that Lincoln continues to fail spectacularly… they’ll fire his arse and he would likely be promoted to the interim and have a shot to be the next HC.

All of those issues are for the lower and middle class.
This dude will be making high 6 figures with A+ benefits.
There's arguably no better place in the world to live than socal for those making that type of income.

In his presser with NDSU he said a consistent knock against him when he's interviewed with FBS schools has been that he doesn't have FBS recruiting experience or NIL experience, so moving to USC gives him the opportunity to add that to his resume for head coaching jobs.

This is a good move. USC has the worst defense known to man. Get double the pay and if they just improve 50%, you will be in line for much bigger jobs
Most FCS coaches are 200-400k
I actually thought the job paid a bit more at the oil rich flagship state school , but it's an understandable pay upgrade at USC.

Good move by him. Gotta make the move if you wanna get to the big leagues. Will probably climb the ranks fast with hsi prior experience if he doesnt mind moving jobs frequently.
