Caleb is lightyears better than Nuss and certainly better than Howard who has never played a snap of cfb before

Yes, I believe it's Riley too. Some folks that are my age or older (45+) have this silly complex that LSU is not capable of being elite/like a dynasty because they feel it never was and never can be, and they love to remind us of the 90s. Well guess what!? _uck the 90s, you idiots! That ain't our destiny/benchmark!!!! It's a minor blip! LS _ucking U should've been a dynasty from 2003 until present day!!!! But circumstances!!!! Riley is smart enough to know he can be the King Fish at LSU and in Louisiana for the next 20 to 40 years!!!! Woodrow Woody Wood didn't even have to sell it!!!!!!! Riley mother_uckin ridin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So was Spencer Rattler but we see how that turned out. And most would have said Joe Burrow was nothing overly special coming out of high school too. The QB position is the hardest position to predict.

Around 10 tonight, on the OU247 board, a mod made a post trying to calm the masses.

quote:

What I can tell you is that sources I have spoken with don’t think Riley is going anywhere. At least not right now.

IMO, that lines up with what we’re hearing on our end. Riley hasn’t said no. Those guys know things way sooner than most of us peasants. I think theyre hearing something on the back channels but aren’t going to report it quite yet. Not with what OU is playing for.

There’s absolutely no way in hell an OU mod is going to post something about the possibility of Riley leaving and melt down their board and cause chaos. But his post left a lot of open ends for later just in case he has to write up something about Riley taking another job and he has a cushion to land on where he can say “hey, I never said it was impossible.”

I feel like we’ve moved on to Stage 2….

This is totally bizarre. OU is currently undefeated!! If this guy gets his panties in a wad over booster interactions/interference at OU, what do think will happen at LSU? Come on man. His team is winning and he wants to leave? Is this who we want? No.

my source says that Riley was fairly upset in handling Spencer Rattler along with his dad and Rattler’s selfish antics. There was some interference from boosters prior to Rattler being benched and this really pissed off Riley.

And coming to LSU solves this sort of problem?

isn't Woodward kind of known for shielding coaches from this crap?

I would think Woodward can handle all of those things.

Boosters fronted the money to get the guy they wanted. If that's Riley, I see them getting out of the way and letting Lincoln do his thing.

Caleb is one of the best QBs in the country as a freshman.

What is Nuss doing? sitting on the bench behind Johnson?

Caleb would beat him soundly in a qb competition. Why do you think Riley offered him and not Nuss? Why do you think Joe Brady wanted Caleb?

Why do you think 63-28?

Riley to LSU
Freeze to OU

Would make alot of sense. Runs an offense somewhat similiar to Riley. Going to the SEC, why not hire someone who had success in the SEC and beat Alabama twice?

I’m thinking OU will bring Stoops back. He built that program and handed it to LR, leaving on good terms. He was coaching in the start-up USFL, so you know he wants to coach again. He also knows the SEC landscape from his days at UF.

To me, this is the only reason they would not match an LSU offer.

Loyalty is a two way street
You want players to play injured and not opt out but throw them under the bus for an unproven transfer
