Most likely changes to the staff

Miles to Mich is a long shot & I don't think Crowton is going anywhere this year. I think the defensive staff stays in tact but you could see a complete overhaul on the position coaches with Porter to Memphis, Studrawa :fingerscrossed:, and McCarthy.
Who replaces these three?

And I agree that there will be some turnover of the offensive assistants...

crowton, stud, and mccarthy will all be gone IMO.
Like last year with Malveto Miles knows he will lose a lot of capital if he doesn't fire Crowton. If a change is not made I think he'll lose even more support than he's already lost.

miles really cannot excuse stud
mccarthy is gone
porter, offered, would be an idiot not to go to memphis. i still think this is a long shot
if leach goes to UL, then i think malzhan goes to UM

Keeping Crowton and keeping on Robinson and Yano to do basically nothing at all while not getting a QB coach would be Lestastic.

Agreed.
Furthermore Crowton has not forgotten how to coach. Crowton/Flynn in Flynn's first year as starter had the best offense in the history of LSU football on a points per game basis.

the only positive of Crowton staying is to see how the Miles worshippers will spin it. Ultimately the discussion will end in a posting of his record.

Big Les needs to coach up the TEs and go get us a QB coach. The Zooker for ST coach/ recruiting guy wouldn't be a bad thing either.

the question is how deserved was his reputation

Crowton's rep is built on 3 things:
1) loss against Nebraska where they put up like 40 points on them
2) Tim Rattay
3) Troy Edwards
Outside of those couple of years, he has never been able to sustain offensive success.

This! .... is the truth.
We OBVIOUSLY need a QB coach and likely will need one who can recruit.

Funny seeing Monkens name thrown out there when some were pissed when there were rumors that miles was going to promote him to replace fisher when crowton was hired.

I was against it at the time, but I have changed my position.
The best thing for our offense is to get on the same page. This spread one play, double tight/full back power the next isn't working. If Monken and Miles share the same philosphy and do it well then go for it.
Plus, hopefully Monken learned a few things from Koetter.

Yeah, I remember that. I always thought he was a really good coach. The receivers really improved under him and the offense took off once he got more involved as the passing game coordinator.

With the HC of the Bills gone. I wouldn't mind seeing him back in La.

Rick Trickett (FSU)

Rick was only at LSU for a short time, would like to see him back.
Blake was interviewed when Studs got the job.

JJ would be my choice, he was a G.A. at LSU for a short time.
Shula and Koetter are two good names out there.
Shula and Applewhite are two with a little SEC in them.
TE and RB's coaches, they will have a bunch of names out there.
