I am not too sure a Sceintologist would want to move to Starkville

I wish we could get Petersen, but it sounds like he is happy at Boise. He turned down UCLA last season FWIW.

Isn't he already making 1 mil +?

Terrible move on his part if he goes.

Much more realistic than Tubbs to MSU.

I don't know. I've never been to Boise. However, the window on coaching moves can close as quickly as they open. I remember some 15 years ago when a big name in the coaching circles was Steve Logan at East Carolina. They did well for about 4-5 years and Logan never bit on offers to go to ACC schools. Later, the program faltered and he was canned.

It's also rumored that Chris Peterson hates playing in BCS bowl games.

Until either Washington or Wazzou come back up, Boise isn't going anywhere. They're getting all of those guys that used to go to U-Dub.

They have a hell of a program up there. I just can't see him leaving for MSU (no offense).

I don't know a lot about the situation at MSU, but my friends there said with this new AD, it's not business as usual. He's quite a change of pace from Larry Templeton

Is he going to move the school out of Starkville?

They are apparently in negotiations as we speak. Would def be an upgrade for State.

It's amazing what an extra $1 million in your pocket per year will allow you to tolerate...

Well, I dont have any clue if its true or not, I hope so, but Greg Byrne and Peterson are very close friends. I think that gets State a chance to at least make him an offer. I've been told they might offer as much as 3 million to him.

Rollie, my friends said they would 'love' to meet you. They would show you a good time and treat you right.

I don't see it happening either. If he turned down UCLA, it would stand to reason he wouldn't want to coach at State.

Supposedly, we have a former player/booster that has given around $100mm to State in the past month.

that sounds awesome. I am fairly good on a cowbell. Not sure I really know where Starkville is though, or how to get there.

Why would Peterson take Moo St gig? He could've had many better jobs to date, and certainly will be on the list for any and many future elite program openings.

In fact, I'm shocked that Tenn didn't go after him.

If LM ever bolts for Mich and/or is canned..Peterson is and has been on my 1-2-3 list for the past three years. He is smart enough to adapt and modify to the SEC play.

Never doubt an agent's ability to negotiate a raise through job offers.

I wouldn't go bragging about his intelligence at a time like this.
