It seems that MSU just might get Peterson from Boise State. Several friends there say it could happen early next week. Interesting.

If they get this coach, i would be impressed. If this State AD can lock down that coach, then I want this guy as our AD one day.

Would be a terrible move for Peterson.

Rumors are freakin hillarious..the other day there were several links saying Derek Dooley was "The guy" from several "inside sources"...now Peterson is "the guy" once again from "inside sources".....wow

Maybe, but if it's true, it would be a good hire for them. I don't know if it would be a good move for Peterson or not. But, I didn't figure they could get a coach with this much name recognition.

yes if you are going to a place without the resources to compete.

agreed, but maybe the contract will be worth his while. SEC West is very crowded with good coaches, which mostly presents a problem in recruiting.

Miss. State could hire Bill Belichek, and little would change.

I don't know a lot about the situation at MSU, but my friends there said with this new AD, it's not business as usual. He's quite a change of pace from Larry Templeton

The guy will get paid about $2 million per year, that's a nice raise. A good coach can improve the situation and the fans aren't expecting a MNC anytime soon.
