"Sonny Dykes tries to up his contract extension amount."
Mizzou isn't hiring him.

He was seen as a future offensive superstar at one point.

That would be a disaster.

Meh, Jeff Tedford left that program in horrible shape. His team has improve each year, and is record at Cal is .500 if you throw out his disastrous 1-11 first season.

Mizzou does like to play defense, right? Cal's defense is worse than Oregon's and we are almost top 10 worst.

He did a good job at Louisiana Tech

Dykes interviewed for the Houston job last year. He might just be trying to get away from Cal.

Same AD at Houston last year and Mizzou this year.

I am a Cal guy. Our win total is better, but Cal is one of the softest D1 teams that I have ever seen. I watch Stanford and Cal play a lot. Stanford is about as tough as teams get. Cal is exactly the opposite. Cal is hard to watch, and that pains me.
...and yes, Dykes wants out of Cal, and the feeling is mutual.

I wouldn't blame him. Jeff Tedford was a really good coach, but the administration of the university refused to allocate resources to make it a relevant program.
(BTW - What is Tedford doing right now? Would he be willing to be OC for a major SEC program that's badly in need of a change on offense?)

I personally feel that the Tony Franklin System is exactly what's needed to cure Missouri's current racial tensions.

LSU should call Graham Harrell
All of the other Leach great AR QBs seem to be working out as OCs
Just sayin

That's what average air raid teams look like. You can't really compare them to Stanford.

He's been recruiting Mississippi really hard since he got there. It's strange, lots of Mississippi kids are considering Cal.

How does Cal get these people in? And why aren't schools like Ga Tech and Tulane doing the same thing? Desean Jackson doesn't strike me as a guy who's grades were near the top of his graduating class in HS.

Marshawn Lynch wasn't exactly a scholar, either. Also, despite all the praise of "OMG HE'S A GENIUS" that sports media outlets give Richard Sherman, he couldn't even get a 1000 on the SAT. You have to be a moron to get below 1000 on the SAT.
They find a way to get those guys in. They can't take a lot of them, so they'll take some low-rated guys (usually offensive linemen) with high GPAs and test scores to help even it out.
So far, Cal has two guys from Mississippi committed and a few more considering them. Had some last year, too. I think they signed a lineman from the coast. It's interesting to say the least.
