I am sure my former Birmingham-Southern Teammate, Butch Thompson, will get a call and an interview. I know he just took the Auburn Job, after being the pitching coach at MSU, he is from Mississippi and has been successful everywhere he has coached.

That will be the best baseball stadium in the country when it's finished.

It may well be the best stadium in the country but going by past years, it will only be filled when the playoffs start. I've seen a lot of empty seats during a big SEC wkend series against the gators, LSU, the hawgs, etc Non conference games may average..what..3,000? Or is the athletic dept using the old line: Build it & they will come?

They have to meet their scholarship requirements that exist for all students.
Private schools have no particular advantage in baseball; it's just that their disadvantage in football and basketball is not as significant in baseball.
