They’ll hire Anderson or Skip before they let a first time HC have an SEC job. That would be foolish.

Their last 3 hires were first time head coaches. (Fordham doesn’t count for Moorhead)

Report is that Napier wants the Baylor job
I’ve seen this multiple times on here. Why would he covet that job?

Rhule has righted the ship there so he wouldn’t have to rebuild at all. It’s also a lot easier to win the Big 12 at Baylor than the SEC at State.

State will always just be fighting for 4th in the SEC West every year. They have a ceiling and playoffs will never be a reality for them. Baylor was a few plays away from the playoffs this year.

If even Mullen couldn’t win the West at State (although he came close with Dak), no one ever will.

I think they settle for Joe Judge and are lucky to get him. Nobody that doesn’t love Miss St already is going to want this job, unless they’re desperate.

From The Athletic
quote:

The wildcard candidate for this job I think is New England Patriots special teams coordinator and wide receivers coach Joe Judge. The 37-year-old played at Mississippi State and then spent three years on Sylvester Croom’s staff. His wife was a soccer player for the Bulldogs as well. Judge also spent three years on Nick Saban’s staff at Alabama before spending much of the past decade working for Bill Belichick. I’m hearing he has always REALLY wanted this job and that he will have the support of some key folks at Mississippi State.

I'm struggling to think of someone that went from ST coordinator to HC and succeeded. I can think of a lot that failed, though.

That’s not a sexy hire, but I bet it would be a solid one.

Yeah, it’d be a huge step down to make 3 million at a P5 school when said school had whipped his arse 45-17, 57-24, and 45-3 when he coached against them. I understand trolls but shite dude I hope your arse ain’t really this stupid. Also, there ain’t no way in hell we are hiring Skip Holtz. Zero. None. Period. We’d have kept Sloppy before we’d do that.

Gene Chizik (Former UNC DC) & HC Auburn

Serious discussions right now, I think it gets done. I don’t know what Moo st fans think, but to me that would be a good hire for Moo St, Chizik won’t fool around with any of Kiffin’s antics.

If they got GC, I think they can get back to where Mullen had them. He needs to hire a good OC though if he gets hired!

Miss St fans, would y’all be stoked with a GC hire?

Whole lot of meh on that list except for Bill Clark. That’s the guy in my opinion.

Willie Fritz is now winning a Bowl game at Tulane.
It may be a ‘meh’ hire, but ole boy can coach.

Clark would be an out of the park homerun.

He knows how to energize a program.

Please please please hire Hud. Cannot wait to watch that program go down in flames with him.
