Just an observation. I work with alot of guys from Oklahoma, many of whom went to Ok St. When Miles left for LSU, they were kind of glad to see the guy go. They said he was a good coach and they liked the guy, but he would make decisions that left you wondering what the hell the he was thinking sometimes. I think most here can agree with that after having him around for a few years. I personally think Miles is a GOOD coach, but not great. If he stays LSU will be in good hands, but I also think he is very replaceable.

Okie State cracks me up.

Living in Oklahoma, I get to see first hand, that they always think they deserve much more than they get. This year it was the "world's greatest offense" which turned into a shite storm and a qb change.

Miles is the most successful coach in OkSU history. They should be weeping that he left...Gundy is taking them right back to the shitter.

Really, go back and check see what they think now about him leaving....

Oklahoma State (4 years under Miles)
28-21....2-2 against Oklahoma

Oklahoma State (3 years since Miles left)
17-19....0-3 against Oklahoma

If they're still glad he left....
Either they're Stupid, or someone is going to have to explain it to me.

exactly.

to go back even further, check their winning percentage before he got there. he is seriously the winningest coach in school history.

osu has never given a damn about football until now and they expect to be a major power... yet have nothing whatsoever to support this...

TigerStripes06-
Yeah, I know... kind of threw it out as a rhetorical question.

By the way, NICE AVATAR...and that's understated!

He ranks 3rd in win percentage of coaches with more than 1 season at OKState, and tied for 8th in wins at OKState, plus he never even had the Cowboys ranked in a final poll.

Miles 28-21 - .571

Guess I should have said in the modern era.

Lynn Waldorf was 34-10 for .735 in 1929-1933
Paul J. Davis was 29-16 for .641 in 190-1914

He did better than Jimmy Johnson though.

Who says Miles is "terrible"?

Miles proponents would have more credibility if they actually argued against real points and not those made up.. i.e. scarecrows.

No one is advocating Miles get fired.
No one is saying Miles is a terrible coach.

The argument is that he makes questionable decisions and we won't cry if he leaves.

Big difference.

I don't know if you are being sarcastic or not.

But exactly. Lots of people around here make fun of Miles. OU guys hate him (mostly I think because he had far inferior teams and beat them and disrupted a nc run once). OSU guys all seem to think Gundy is the shite... but for no apparent reason...

He got rid of a bunch of talented thugs when he took over and it hurt the Cowboys production on the field going 4-7 his first year. He won 7 last season and has a chance to win 7 this season, Les Miles last team at OSU only won 7 as well. I think the jury is still out for Gundy.
